Geography

Bangor is located north of the center of Kitsap County at 47°43′15″N 122°42′47″W / 47.72083°N 122.71306°W / 47.72083; -122.71306, on Hood Canal northwest of Silverdale. It is 15 miles (24 km) north-northwest of Bremerton and 21 miles (34 km) by road west-northwest of Bainbridge Island.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.1 square miles (28.8 km), of which 0.03 square miles (0.08 km), or 0.26%, is water.
