Geography

Barview is located along the southern Oregon Coast opposite the entrance to Coos Bay. It is 7 miles (11 km) west of the city of Coos Bay via the Cape Arago Highway.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the Barview CDP has a total area of 1.8 square miles (4.6 km), of which 1.4 square miles (3.6 km) is land and 0.39 square miles (1.0 km), or 22.89%, is water.
