Musselshell is an unincorporated village in Musselshell County, Montana, United States. It is also the namesake of a census designated place (CDP) which incorporates the village. The population of the village is unknown, but the population of the entire CDP was 60 at the 2010 census and 2000 census. The village is located near the Musselshell River.
In 1866, the Rocky Mountain Wagon Road Company built a trading post named Kerchival City. Flooding destroyed the post. The Montana Hide and Fur Company later built a post and warehouse on the site and renamed it Musselshell.

Musselshell is located at 46°31′1″N 108°5′25″W / 46.51694°N 108.09028°W / 46.51694; -108.09028 (46.516983, -108.090297). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.6 square miles (6.7 km), all of it land.
