Geography

Charlotte Park is located next to Punta Gorda, the Charlotte County seat, at 26°54′16″N 82°2′46″W / 26.90444°N 82.04611°W / 26.90444; -82.04611 (26.904421, -82.046136). It is bordered by the larger city to the north, west, and south. The eastern edge of the CDP follows U.S. Route 41, the Tamiami Trail.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km), of which 1.0 square mile (2.7 km) is land and 0.27 square miles (0.7 km), or 20.58%, is water. The CDP is crossed by several canals which lead southwest to Charlotte Harbor, an inlet of the Gulf of Mexico.
