According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.16 square miles (8.18 km), of which 3.11 square miles (8.05 km) is land and 0.050 square miles (0.13 km), or 1.60%, is water. The town is located on high ground north of the Conecuh River.
