History
A post office called Biscay was established in 1888, and remained in operation until 1954. The city was named after the Bay of Biscay on the Atlantic Ocean.

Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.08 square miles (0.21 km), all land. It is the smallest city in Minnesota by land area.
Biscay is located at the junction of Minnesota State Highway 22 and Major Avenue, between the cities of Glencoe and Hutchinson.
