History
A post office called Cohasset has been in operation since 1892. The city was named after Cohasset, Massachusetts.

Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 35.29 square miles (91.40 km), of which 26.81 square miles (69.44 km) is land and 8.48 square miles (21.96 km) is water. It is the westernmost point of Minnesota’s Iron Range[1].
