Geography
Carrolltown is located in northern Cambria County at 40°36′N 78°43′W / 40.600°N 78.717°W / 40.600; -78.717 (40.603, -78.709), approximately 20 miles west of Altoona. U.S. Route 219 passes through the borough, leading northwest 6 miles (10 km) to Northern Cambria and south 8 miles (13 km) to Ebensburg, the county seat.
