History

McFall was laid out in 1879, and named after John McFall Sr., the original owner of the town site. A post office has been in operation at McFall since 1879.

Geography

McFall is located on Missouri Route T adjacent to the Gentry-Daviess county line. Albany is approximately 10.5 miles to the northwest and Pattonsburg in Daviess County is six miles to the southeast. The Elam Bend Conservation Area on the Grand River is three miles to the southwest.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.31 square miles (0.80 km), all land.
