History

Deerfield was first settled in 1826. It was incorporated as a village in 1873.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.96 square miles (2.49 km), all land. Deerfield is also 33.1 miles (53.3 km) southeast of Ann Arbor and 26.5 miles (42.6 km) northwest of Toledo.
