Geography

Josephine is located in southeastern Collin County at 33°03′40″N 96°18′48″W / 33.061018°N 96.313227°W / 33.061018; -96.313227 (33.061018, –96.313227). A small portion extends east into Hunt County. It is 24 miles (39 km) northeast of Garland and 14 miles (23 km) southwest of Greenville. According to the United States Census Bureau, Josephine has a total area of 5.0 km (1.9 sq mi), of which 1.9 square miles (4.8 km) are land and 0.2 km (0.08 sq mi), or 3.64%, is covered by water.
