Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau in 2000, the CDP has a total area of 3.5 square miles (9.2 km), all of it land. Prior to the 2010 census, part of the CDP was annexed to the city of Georgetown, decreasing the total area of 2.6 square miles (6.7 km), all land.

Climate

The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Serenada has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated “Cfa” on climate maps.
